Winter Wardrobe Essentials

Hey y'all,
I haven't blogged in forever. One of these days I really will get into the habit of posting regularly :) I hope everyone had a joyful Christmas holiday season and a great start to 2012! It's hard to believe the first month of the new year is almost over. This means we are one step closer to SPRING! I am thankful we have had a relatively mild winter this year, but I am still beyond ready to break out my Lilly Pulitzer sundresses and Jack Rogers sandals. In the meantime, I am thankful that winter doesn't have to equal a drab wardrobe. Here are some key pieces I have been sporting during the colder weather months and will continue to wear as I anxiously await warmer days.

TOPS:

Lilly Pulitzer cable knit sweater. This classic preppy staple is perfect for staying warm on a cold day. I have multiple colors plus a striped one as well! The signature Lilly palm tree in tonal embroidery on the chest adds a nice touch.

J.Crew tissue turtleneck. I have this basic in multiple colors as well. If you have a J.Crew outlet nearby you can snag these for a great price!

Lilly Pulitzer cardigan. I have Lilly cardigans in a few different solid colors as well as this fun polka dot pattern.

PANTS:

Citizens of Humanity Avedon slick leg skinny jean. I discovered these after my earlier post on the search for the perfect pair of jeans. These are so comfortable and definitely a great investment.

Levi's 535 jean leggings. Another great pair of skinny jeans I have discovered since I last blogged about jeans. Comfortable and a great price too!

SHOES:

Ariat Classic Heritage Western R-toe boots. This past fall I became the proud owner of my first pair of cowgirl boots and I absolutely love them! They go great with skinny jeans or with a skirt and brown tights.

Tory Burch Classic Reva Ballet Flats. Nobody does a flat better than Tory. So classy and great with jeans or a skirt/dress and black tights. Be warned that these are not very comfortable straight out of the box. Don't let that discourage you from buying them though. Once you break them in they become much more comfortable. And since they are so adorable the breaking-in period is well worth it!

UGG classic tall boot. This is the best casual shoe for really cold days. I know there is a lot of mixed opinion on them but they are soooo warm and soooo comfortable!

ACCESSORIES:

Lilly Pulitzer Murfee Scarves. A Lilly scarf is a great way to add a pop of color to a neutral winter outfit or to add a splash of print to a solid colored outfit. The cashmere/silk blend feels AMAZING and in my opinion you can never have too many!
