Friday Five!

Hope y'all have had a wonderful first week of summer! I'm back this week with another Friday Five!

1. Lilly Pulitzer All Occasion Card Set
I love the multi-occasion printed cards available from the latest Lilly stationery collection by Lifeguard Press. Each box comes with 12 cards, three of each print. There are birthday cards, congratulations cards, thank you cards, and just because cards. The prints in this set are great-I especially love that it includes Chin Chin! I recently bought two boxes of these and highly recommend them!

2. Kate Spade Turtle Ring
I got this adorable turtle cocktail ring for nearly 80% off from the recent Kate Spade Surprise sale! It's perfect for summer!

3. Milly Collection for Banana Republic Elephant Print
I know I just blogged about the collaboration between Milly and Banana Republic yesterday, but I love the elephant print so much it's worth mentioning again on the Friday Five. I'm so glad I snagged these precious shorts and coral scarf yesterday because they are already sold out online!

4. Lilly Pulitzer Gift With Purchase Sunglasses Case
The sunglasses case that came as a Gift With Purchase for Lilly Pulitzer's Splash Into Summer promotion last weekend is too cute! I like the bright Cosmo Pink Party Favors print and the gold heart charm that says "Nauti" on one side and "Summer 2013" on the other adds a nice extra touch. Since my Kate Spade sunglasses came with their own hard case that I prefer to use, I will use this sunglasses case as a little zip pouch to hold earrings and other small jewelry when traveling.

5. Fresh-picked Strawberries
This week I went strawberry picking with some friends, and today I enjoyed a snack of fresh strawberries with angel food cake and Cool Whip. Yum!

Have a great weekend y'all!

Milly for Banana Republic!

Today was the debut of the special-edition collection that designer Milly created for Banana Republic. The designer collaborations for Banana are nice because they are higher end than the ones for Target (absolutely nothing against Target though!) but still offer designer pieces at more affordable prices. When I saw in previews that the Milly/Banana Republic collaboration would include these precious navy elephant print shorts, I knew I had to get them! So I made a trip to Banana Republic this afternoon to pick them up! They fit really well and the quality is exceptional in my opinion!
I also got this coral elephant print cotton scarf that is part of the collection! If y'all read my blog regularly, then you know I'm just a little obsessed with elephants! It is so popular that it has already sold out online!

Here are some other favorites from the Milly Collection for Banana Republic:

I really like Banana Republic's collaboration with Milly because the bright colors and fun prints remind me of my favorite designer: Lilly. I'm super glad I already got my elephant print shorts and scarf because this pattern definitely seems to be the collection's best-seller. The scarf is already sold out online and the shorts are already sold out in many sizes online. There is also a coated cosmetic case like this one available in the elephant print but it is already sold out online as well! What do y'all think of the Milly Collection for Banana Republic? Have you bought anything yet or do you plan to?

Happy Memorial Day!!!

My apologies for the lack of posts over the past week. Hope y'all have had a great Memorial Day weekend! Thank you to all of our military (and their families) for sacrificing so much so that America can be a free country! Most importantly, Memorial Day is a day to remember our fallen heroes who gave their lives so that we can enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted. Secondly, it marks the unofficial start of summer, my favorite season! Stay tuned for lots of fun new posts on summer essentials including bathing suits, flip-flops, sunglasses, beach gear, shorts, sandals, and more! In the meantime, here are a few snapshots from my Memorial Day weekend at the beach with family:

Cheers to summer!

Perfect beach reading!

Upcoming Products from Lifeguard Press

I want to share my excitement over the news I have gotten from the Lifeguard Press Facebook page over the past week. For those of y'all who are unfamiliar, Lifeguard Press is the company with the license to manufactured Lilly Pulitzer gift and stationery items. Well they have recently announced that they have acquired a license to make Kate Spade products, which will be making their debut this fall. Kate Spade is probably my favorite designer other than Lilly, so I am thrilled to hear this. I can't wait to see what the collection includes!

I am also tickled that Tusk In Sun, another adorable Lilly elephant print, will be one of the prints that Lifeguard Press includes in their Lilly Pulitzer line this fall. This was a popular print from Lilly's Fall 2012 collection, but sadly I never got anything in it. I will most definitely be getting my hands on some gift/stationery items in this print when they are released.
Precious!

Are y'all as excited about the upcoming Lifeguard Press items as I am?

Featured Outfit: One Polo, Two Ways

I recently received my Lilly Pulitzer Trophy Polo in the Bright Navy Cherry Picker print that I ordered for an EXCELLENT deal on 6pm. As I mentioned before, this was one of my favorite prints from Lilly's Spring 2012 collection. I missed out on it last year, so was thrilled to finally acquire an item for my closet! This past week I have worn it twice, and styled it two different ways.

Look 1: Preppy Professional
Top: Lilly Pulitzer; Cardigan: J.Crew; Skirt: Banana Republic Outlet; Shoes: Jack Rogers; Pearls and Earrings: Honora; Bangle: J.Crew Factory; Ring: Kate Spade

Tucking the polo into a neutral skirt with a work-appropriate length and adding a navy cardigan on top made for a perfect Spring work look that is both fun and polished.

Look 2: Casual Party
Top: Lilly Pulitzer; Cardigan: Lilly Pulitzer; Jeans: Joe's Jeans; Shoes: Jack Rogers; Earrings: Lilly Pulitzer; Pearls: Pearl of Orient; Bangles: Kate Spade "Rise Above" and "Tickle The Ivories"; Ring: Kate Spade

Then this weekend I kept the shirt-tail out and paired it with white skinnies and a bold cardigan in a complementary color for a pulled-together look for a friend's casual party.

Friday Five

1. Psalm 40:1-3
I have been obsessed with these verses from Psalms this week. So thankful to love and serve a God who rescues us from the pit of despair!

2. Lilly Pulitzer Pink Seersucker Callie Skirt
This adorable seersucker Lilly Pulitzer skirt I ordered from a recent Ruelala sale arrived this week and I am loving it! I can't wait to wear it a lot this summer. The ruffle detail at the hem adds a nice touch too.

3. Target Fudge Animal Cookies
Target brand fudge-covered sprinkle animal cookies are absolutely delicious. While I love the fact that the box includes pink ones, the bear-shaped tub that comes with all white ones is too cute!

4. Banana Republic Elephant Critter Belt
I have really enjoyed this elephant critter belt I got at the Banana Republic outlet earlier this spring!

5. Flawless Carolina Spring Day
This past Wednesday was absolutely GORGEOUS! I love warm weather!

Have a great weekend!

Wish List Wednesday

I am beyond thankful and blessed for everything I do have, and I've gotten some fabulous new stuff this Spring via my birthday and some great sales. However, there's always room on my wish list for some things I've been eyeing lately.

J.Crew Factory Bubble Necklace in Sweet Hyacinth
I officially have an obsession with J.Crew bubble necklaces, and I hope to add this pretty light purple one from the outlet to my collection at some point!

Stella & Dot Elephant Getaway Bag
I love this adorable elephant print weekender duffel bag from Stella & Dot. The cousin of one of my childhood friends is a stylist for Stella & Dot, and since she knew how much I love elephants she told me about this bag! It's currently sold out online, but hopefully they will be getting some more in. The print also comes in a pretty cosmetic case.

J.Crew Elephant Bracelet
I can't get enough of elephants! Plus I'm really starting to get into arm candy. This bracelet from J.Crew is absolutely presh!

Lilly Pulitzer Buttercup Short in Resort White Nibbles
This carrot print from Lilly's Spring collection is too cute, and I loved the scalloped hem on these shorts!

Kate Spade 20th Anniversary Coffee Table Book
I would love a copy of Kate Spade's Things We Love coffee table book, created to celebrate 20 years of Kate Spade!

Lilly Pulitzer Murfette Scarf Hotty Pink First Impression
I have enjoyed my Murfette scarf in Chin Chin so much that I would love to add another print to my collection. This lightweight and airy scarf is perfect for spring/summer, and the Hotty Pink First Impression print is beautiful!

What is on y'alls wish list? Do tell!

I'm on Vine!

So I had been hearing about Vine and kept wondering exactly what it was and how it was different from Twitter, Instagram, etc. While I really don't need another social media outlet to keep up with, I decided to create an account and check it out, due to my curiosity. For those of y'all that aren't familiar, Vine is a place to record and post six-second looping videos. However, you don't record for six seconds non-stop. Rather you record snippets that are pieced together. Vine is really easy to catch on to and it's free, so if you're curious like I was the best thing to do is create your own account. Even if you don't post that much it's fun to browse and see what kinds of things others post. For those of y'all who are on Vine, follow me at PearlsWithEverything! I have posted a few Vines so far. It's a fun and different way to present Outfits Of The Day, so I will probably be utilizing it for that purpose a good bit.

Here are links to the Vines I have posted so far:

Happy Vining y'all!

Unanswered Prayers

I read another AMAZING devotional in Streams In The Desert over the weekend. I just have to share some quotes from it that completely blew me away. The focus of this particular day's devotional is the discipline of faith that comes through waiting on the Lord and continuing to believe His promises and goodness even when our prayers go unanswered. Here are the quotes that really stuck out to me:

"When you have made your request to God, and the answer still has not come, what are you to do? Keep on believing His Word! Never be swayed from it by what you see or feel. Then as you stand firm, your power and experience is being developed, strengthened, and deepened."

"God will often purposely delay in giving you His answer, and in fact the delay is just as much an answer to your prayer as is the fulfillment when it comes."

The devotional also mentions that some of the greatest characters of the Bible were trained in the discipline of faith in order to prepare them for the great plans God had for them. This message and these quotes are so applicable no matter what phase of life you find yourself in. When we desire something and pray for something and yet God appears to remain silent, it is easy to let our frustrations send us down into a pit of despair. Instead, choose to believe God's promises instead of your fickle feelings. I promise it will make such a difference in your life and bring an awesome sense of peace. Remember that even though God may seem silent, He cares so much about your prayers and is working moment by moment to build your character, strengthen your faith, and prepare you for what's ahead! He always gives us what's best for us, even though it may not be what we want at the moment.

"No good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless." -Psalm 84:11

Featured Outfit:Chin Chin Skort Debut

This past weekend my Lilly Pulitzer skort in Multi Chin Chin made its debut! As I have mentioned multiple times on this blog, Chin Chin is one of my favorite Lilly prints ever! The pink elephants could not be any more precious. I wore my skort out to dinner with a good friend, to a place appropriately called "Lilly's Pizza." Here is how I styled my skort:
Skort: Lilly Pulitzer January Skort in Multi Chin Chin (Spring 2013); Cardigan: Lilly Pulitzer; Camisole: LOFT; Necklace: J.Crew Factory Critter Necklace; Shoes: Jack Rogers; Earrings: Kate Spade; Ring: Kate Spade; Bangles: Kate Spade "Tickle The Ivories" and "Sweeten The Deal" idiom bangles

Had to get a picture with the "Lilly's Pizza" sign!

Friday Five

After missing last week, I'm back this week with another Friday Five! I'm sooo glad it finally feels like May outside, and that there are multiple sunny 80 degree days in the ten-day forecast!

1. Mint Green J.Crew Factory Bubble Necklace
I have recently developed an obsession with J.Crew bubble necklaces, and the great deals at the outlet make them even more appealing. As soon as J.Crew Factory began making their bubble necklace in mint green, it immediately went on my wish list. Then when I had a one-day code for an additional 30% off the already reduced prices on the J.Crew Factory website, I couldn't resist ordering it. Out of the three bubble necklaces I have, this one might be my favorite. The mint green color is gorgeous and so versatile. It goes with brights, pastels, and neutral colors, whereas the neon bubble necklaces I have only go with brights and neutrals.

2. Chick-fil-a Grilled Market Salad
Chick-fil-a has completely revamped their salad menu over the past couple of weeks. When I discovered that the Southwest Salad I used to always get was no longer available, I tried this Grilled Market Salad and was extremely pleased! I think I might even like it better than the Southwest! It has romaine lettuce, grilled chicken, strawberries, blueberries, apple, bleu cheese, and granola. I recommend the reduced fat berry balsamic dressing. This is an absolutely delicious and healthy fast food meal!

3. Kate Spade Idiom Bangle Stack
I have added another Kate Spade Idiom Bangle to my collection (thanks Gap Rewards and Piperlime!). I got the cream "Tickle The Ivories" one, which I love because it literally matches everything and can be stacked with any other color. I love the way my three idiom bangles look together, and love to wear them as a stack if the fuschia and the mint complement the colors in my outfit.

4. J.Crew Factory Elephant Flip-flops
These critter flip-flops from the J.Crew outlet are so precious and so comfortable. As y'all know, I love elephants and collect clothes and accessories with an elephant pattern or motif. Therefore, I couldn't resist these flip-flops. The mint and pink color combination is really pretty as well!

5. Lilly Pulitzer Trophy Polo in Bright Navy Cherry Picker
I loved the Bright Navy Cherry Picker print from Lilly Pulitzer's Spring 2012 collection, but missed out on getting anything in it. So when I saw a Lilly polo in this print on 6pm (a website owned by Zappos that has excellent deals on past seasons of designer brands like Lilly), I jumped at the opportunity to order it! I'm happy to now have something in this beautiful print. This top will look great with white jeans or shorts, but can also be dressed up by tucking into a skirt and putting a cardigan on top. I'm sure the different ways it can be worn will be making an appearance in future Featured Outfit posts!

Have a great weekend y'all!
