Friday Five

I'm back with another Friday Five and linking up with A.Liz Adventures. I have not been blogging much thus far in 2014. Between starting a new full-time job and preparing to move to a new place I have been super busy!

1. Kate Spade Cobble Hill Little Curtis Handbag

I got this Kate Spade purse for Christmas. It's a medium sized crossbody that will hold all my essentials including a full-size wallet, sunglasses case, and camera. There's a zippered pocket on the outside and on the inside as well as two additional open pockets on the inside. There's also a smaller handle for carrying it around the shoulder or on the wrist. It definitely doesn't have as much room as a tote but it is a great size for an everyday bag that will hold a lot of stuff without being too bulky. And I love the adorable saying on the Kate Spade dust bag it came with!

2. Lilly Pulitzer Riley Infinity Scarf in Spearmint I Herd You
I got this gorgeous Lilly Infinity Scarf in a zebra print for Christmas and love it! It's my first infinity scarf and the zebras are too adorable!

3. Tory Burch Robinson Ologram Adjustable Mini Bag
When Tory Burch had their sale items an additional 25% off around New Year's, I took advantage and added another crossbody to my collection. I got this bag in the gunmetal color, which is a shimmery gray that will go with everything. This particular style is a little bit bigger than my other Tory crossbody, but still nice and compact. It will go with everything and can work for dressy or casual occasions. I know I will get a TON of use out of this.

4. Hunter Classic Rain Boots in Graphite Gloss
It seems to have been raining a whole lot more than usual over the past year, so I finally broke down and bought a pair of Hunter Wellies. I got the Graphite Gloss, which is a grayish color that will go with everything and still look professional for rainy days at work. Now I'm not so bummed when it rains.

5. John Piper Quote
One of my friends on Instagram posted this John Piper quote and I am absolutely obsessed with it. God is so much bigger than our human minds can comprehend and He is capable of doing more than we can ask or imagine. He is always at work in our lives, we just have to trust!!!

Have a great weekend y'all!

Goodbye 2013, Hello 2014!

Happy New Year y'all! 2013 flew by and I can't believe 2014 is already here! 2013 was quite an emotional roller coaster for me; but I learned and grew a lot in my faith, made a ton of new friends I can't imagine my life without, and landed an amazing new job! Here is a handful of just a few of my favorite pictures and memories from 2013:

I'm so excited 2014 is here and can't wait to see the amazing things God has in store! I'm ready to make some more amazing memories with the many wonderful people in my life! My theme verses this year are Jeremiah 29:11 and Psalm 37:4. More later about what I'm looking forward to in 2014!

"'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'" -Jeremiah 29:11

"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart." -Psalm 37:4
