Lilly Pulitzer for Lifeguard Press Fall 2013

I am especially loving Fall 2013 Lilly Pulitzer gifts and stationery manufactured by Lifeguard Press! This is primarily due to the fact that Tusk In Sun is one of the prints available. This is a basic but beautiful pink and navy elephant print and since I am obsessed with elephants, this is one of my all-time favorite Lilly prints. I missed out on the clothing items Lilly made it in last fall, so I have taken advantage and stocked up on multiple goodies in Tusk In Sun. Here are my favorites:

This can be used as a cooler or multi-purpose bag.

This is perfect for storing miscellaneous stuff that would normally get lost at the bottom of a purse!

Lilly Pulitzer market bags are the best. They hold up so well and are great for grocery shopping or as a miscellaneous tote!

My main criticism of the Fall 2013 Lifeguard Press Lilly line is that there's not a Tusk In Sun koozie.

Friday Five

Happy Friday y'all!

1. Lilly Pulitzer Chin Chin Picture Frame

As y'all know by now, Chin Chin is one of my all-time favorite Lilly Pulitzer prints. I had seen the picture frame in this precious print several months ago, but didn't buy it. This week I decided to get it. Some of the super cute pictures I took this summer will look great in this frame!

2. Kate Spade Pink Skinny Mini Bow Necklace

I had been admiring this Kate Spade bow necklace on Piperlime for awhile, so when it went on sale and I had $50 worth of Gap Rewards, I jumped at the opportunity to order it. Basically, I got a $78 necklace for less than $5! What's not to love about that! I know I will wear this a lot and it will go great with a lot of my Lilly stuff too!

3. Southern Proper Green Frat Hat

I enjoyed wearing my seersucker Southern Proper Frat Hat so much I knew I had to get a solid color one to wear once summer ended. This light green color will go with pretty much everything, and I love how the black lab is wearing a pink bow tie!

4. EOS Lemon Drop Lip Balm

I recently tried a new flavor of Evolution of Smooth (EOS) lip balm! I highly recommend the Lemon Drop- I definitely like it better than the summer fruit flavor I had previously.

5. Chick-fil-a Mocha Cookies & Cream Milkshake

If you haven't tried Chick-fil-a's newest milkshake flavor, you're missing out! I'm not sure how long they plan on having it, so get it while you can! It's amazing!

9/11: Never Forget

Featured Outfit: Transition Time

We are in that time of transition where it's past Labor Day but still quite warm outside. If you're a stickler on the rules like me, Labor Day means its time to put up the white pants, seersucker, and super summery Lilly prints. But with a few exceptions, it's just not quite sweater weather in the South in September-which is fine by me since I'm in no hurry for it to get cold! Here is a weather appropriate and seasonally appropriate outfit I wore this past Friday evening for a picnic in the park to celebrate a good friend's birthday. I wore a sleeveless polo and then put a cardigan on when it got a little cooler later in the evening. Even though it's still very warm during the day, temperatures are definitely dropping more at night!

Friday Five

Hope y'all have had a great first week of fall! My apologies for getting this post up at the 11th hour.

1. The Real Carolina

Since I didn't post a Friday Five last week I had to include this little geography lesson on this week's list. First of all, to any Gamecock fans who follow my blog- please don't be offended! And yes I realize UNC lost the game last week, but that doesn't change the fact that the UNC is the REAL Carolina in my eyes! I got a great chuckle out of this picture that was circulating around social media the day of the Carolina vs. SOUTH Carolina football game.

2. 31 Things I Learned From Friends

My high school friends and I love the TV show Friends, and used to get together all the time to watch it on DVD. This week one of my high school friends emailed us all a link to this Buzz Feed entitled "31 Things I Learned from Friends." It definitely brought back lots of great memories!

3. Lilly Pulitzer Gretchen Dress in Get Hoppy

I needed a cute casual dress to wear to an event in October, and I wanted something Lilly Pulitzer of course. I bought the Gretchen Dress in this adorable pink and navy frog print, which is the one new print from Lilly's Fall 2013 line that I really like. The dress is so comfy and I will definitely get a lot of wear out of it after my event as well! 

4. Following Seasonal Fashion Rules

I don't like having to put away my white jeans and seersucker after Labor Day, but I am an old-fashioned Southern stickler on that rule and love following it. As much as I miss wearing white jeans and seersucker, I cringe at the sight of someone wearing them between Labor Day and Easter. No, just no! Here's a link back to a full post I did last year on this classic fashion debate!

5. Encouraging Tweets

I highly recommend following @GODs_Graces on Twitter! They post the most encouraging stuff and I especially love this tweet they posted today! A great reminder that even though things aren't perfect in my life, I am so incredibly blessed and have absolutely no reason to complain!

So Long Summer 2013!

Hope y'all had a lovely final weekend of Summer 2013! I spent mine at the beach, which was the perfect end to summer. Summer 2013 went by wayyy too quickly, but it was definitely the best summer of my life and God has blessed me with so many great memories with great friends!
